1949年誕生的TheRound Chair PP501通常稱它為TheChair，由HansJ Wegner所設計，並由PP Møbler所製造，其扶手以相當柔順優美的曲線造型與特別的榫接方式確立它經典的地位，整張座椅基本造及輪廓皆以流暢的弧線處理，完全沒有任何銳角。在造型結構上，扶手與椅腦連結的設計，不只增加椅子的包覆性，更使其結構更加穩固。厚實且柔順的弧面椅背讓施坐時背部能得到支撐，並保持使用時的舒適度。展現了丹麥現代設計和其致力於百年木作工藝經驗的本質。
TheChair 也是Wegner最出名的一件作品，經常於國際重要場合出現，在1960年甘迺迪與尼克森就是乘坐TheChair進行美國史上第一次電視轉播的總統辯論會，這使得Wegner的設計得以走向世界，TheChair也有了總統椅這個稱號；1990 年丹麥更特別推出《TheChair》郵票，足見其重要性；更被美國雜誌Interior封為「世界上最漂亮的椅子」。
PP503是在1950年設計，它與PP501不同的地方是在座位的部分使用軟墊。 PP Møbler仍不斷的在多方面改良 TheChair 使它可以擁有更長的壽命。
